Closing for the Fourth

In celebration of the audacity of our forefathers sticking it to the man some 230-odd years ago, we're taking off this 4th of July. Our offices will be closed from end-of-business on the Thursday the 3rd and will re-open Monday the 7th.

Unfortunately, that means that the PRIMER gallery will be closed for this installment of Hatboro First Friday. While the work of Michele Melcher is still hanging in our gallery now, we'll be back next First Friday with a new artist and another opening gala. Stay tuned!

Events

We put up some photos from the grand opening of the Microstudio, which was on Friday, May 30th. Thanks to all who came out to check out our new digs!

We also have a few snaps for our first ever First Friday artist opening featuring the illustration of Michele Melcher. Check them out!

Client News

We would like to congratulate Dreamscape Builders for winning "Website of the Year - Volume Builder" from the Greater Houston Builders Association for the site we put together for them. We're excited to have been a part of their growth and success, and look forward to working with them more in the future.

Another round of congratulations to SA Feather, a 100-plus-year-old 4th generation feather business originally from Philadelphia, now located in Fort Myers, who were recently featured on local television. We designed their logo, website and sales materials as well as conducted photoshoots to capture some of their amazing hand-made products. We're excited to see them getting some of the recognition they deserve.

And finally, the online tutorials we've designed for the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers have been posted as models to follow in their national knowledge management database. The measured success of these tutorials (see one here) enabled them to be awarded funds for a Small Business Administration pilot program studying the effectiveness of online learning and consulting. Congratulations!

Other Stuff

Please join us in welcoming Stephano Suh, our new [insert better word for intern here] fresh from the hallowed halls of Pratt. We were very impressed by Steve's work - and the fact that he brought pizza to his interview. Huzzah! Huzzah! He'll be hanging out at the office a couple days a week - be sure to say hello!

Speaking of new peeps, we welcome Angela Foell to the fold, long-time friend of PRIMER and all-around super code goddess. Angela brings crazy web superpowers to the already impressive arsenal of PRIMER web-stuffs. If you can think it, Lee and Angela can build it.

We've been following with bated breath the progress of our photographer Russ' latest acquisition, the mighty VW Bus. Soon... soon...

In other news, one of Lawrence's side projects, the Philadelphia Ghost Signage Project, was recently written up on Designphiladelphia, a blog about the creative culture in the City of Brotherly Love.

New Numbers

When we moved into the new Microstudio we had a new phone line installed, and this means a new fax number. While our old fax number still works fine (it forwards to the new number), we are slowly phasing it out. Please update your records to this new number:

(215) 674-2819

This is probably a good time to remind everyone of our new address as well:

Hatboro, PA 19040

Mixtapes!

One last thing - we made you a mixtape! Check out the latest mix of music that's been pumping out of the office Lasonic for the past few months, as well as all our mixes, now playing online!

Thanks!

Wow, that was a long one! PRIMER appreciates your continued support, and thanks you for reading this email all the way to the end! Until next time...
